Lea Sellers is a writer of film, TV, radio and stage plays.
Her screenplay Pola, co-written with Yvonne Potter, is being developed by producers in Poland. It has already garnered 8 finalist industry awards.
Her play 'D Minor' about a teenage girl with depression and anxiety, looks at mental health pressures on young women. (It was due for staging in May 2020 at a London theatre but was postponed due to Covid closures.)
'Holy Fool', a play written with Rosalind Adler about the composer Shostakovich, is being developed by Park Theatre, London. (It had a rehearsed reading with Simon Russell Beale taking the lead role.)
Her latest play ‘A Passage from India’ tells the story of an old woman’s need to unburden herself about her secret past in India in 1948. It is currently being submitted to London theatres.
Another stage play 'Baby Come Back' was showcased in sell-out performances at the Leicester Square Theatre in 2017 with very positive audience feedback.
'The Last Assignment' was selected for showcasing at the Soho Theatre and various pieces of her work have been performed as rehearsed readings with Director's Cut Theatre and Actors and Writers London.
Lea has an MA in Screenwriting from Bournemouth University.

As well as writing scripts, Lea works as a media trainer following a career as a television news and current affairs producer for the BBC and Channel 4.
She co-founded The Confidence People with Rosalind Adler, does media training for the London Business School, the Thomson Foundation and the Press Association.
She is a moderator for technology leaders' network Hot Topics as well as various literary festivals.
She is co-author with Catherine Boyd of The British Way of Birth (Pan Books).
Lea is based in London.
